“2021 was an extremely successful year for real estate in South Florida and especially in Broward County. We saw a 15.8 percent rise in closed sales to 18,565, and the median sale price increased a whopping 17.5 percent to $470,000. Also, homes were flying off the market. The median time to contract was 15 days, a 53.1 percent decrease from 32 days in 2020. I am proud of my Realtor® family at Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® and how quickly we were able to help our communities grow in such a short amount of time. We finished the year strong, and it is also worth noting that 1,541 of those sales closed during the month of December at a median sale price of $500,000.
